Dog Control – Public Space Protection Order June 2019

If you are a dog owner please be responsible and keep our community safe and clean.
A public space protection order for dog control came into force throughout the Bridgend County Borough in June 2019 which means that people need to carry bags and collect and dispose of the faeces of dogs within their control, by removing and depositing in a bag which should be left in a litter bin or taken home.
Breach of this is a criminal offence and anti social. Enforcement officers can issue a fixed penalty notice of up to £100 if appropriate, or following a conviction in court a person can receive a fine of up to £1000

In Coychurch we have provided dog bins and poop bag dispensers to assist with this but if the bin is full or you are not near one please collect the poop and dispose of it in your blue general waste home collection bags.
