County Borough Councillor for Coychurch Lower
I have attended lots of Christmas events this month, including Christmas concerts at both Coychurch Primary School and Pencoed Comprehensive. Christmas fayres at the primary school and church. I have had further meetings about Brocastle transport issues. Then in addition Budget meetings at the council to discuss where cuts will be made and a consultation meeting about changing the time of the school day at Pencoed Comprehensive. I was also very proud to attend the annual Examinations Results ceremony at Pencoed Comprehensive where our young people are formally handed their certificates.
HEALTH BOARD TRANSFER
I attended the consultation about moving Bridgend health board from ABMU to Cwm Taf which was a decision made by the Welsh Government. It was an interesting discussion. The most important message from this was that for patients nothing would change and that it was an administrative change and would not impact patient care.
Public space protection order consultation – this is about dog fouling, the carrying of dog waste bags and when and where leads should be used. This consultation ends on February 26th 2019.
The potential re-organisation of post-16 provision – this will consider the reorganisation of 6th form education in the borough. The consultation ends on March 1st 2019.
Supported bus consultation 2019 to 2020 – this will consider removing funding from certain bus routes. The consultation ends on March 10th 2019.
