VE DAY 75th ANNIVERSARY COMPETITIONS
THE SCORES ARE IN …
Our out-of-village judge has toured Coychurch and Waterton and checked all of your photos and the results are in. Thanks to the Coychurch Lower Community Council who are providing the prizes for this competition and for the Scarecrow competition on 16th May 2020.
WINNER of the BEST VE DAY THEMED FRONT OF HOUSE
WINNER of the BEST CHILDREN’S VE THEMED POSTER
This painting of a Land Army woman was seen on Main Road, Coychurch. Can the artist’s family contact Mabyn (07979260912) so the artist can be identified please.
The judge was also impressed by the a chalk painting in Duffryn Close, a “stained glass” window and knitted rainbow in Glenwood Close, the 2 posters outside Bramble Cottage in Meadow Close and the red dragon poster with bunting in Glenwood Close. There was also lots of hand made bunting and several people had put out memorabilia for people to view as they passed.
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THE EFFORT. We will be contacting the winners for their choice of voucher or cash on Wednesday.
If you haven’t already had a look at all of the pictures for the competition check out the VE Day Celebration Album on the “Help For Coychurch Residents” Facebook page.
