Welsh Government Grants – October 2020

WELSH GOVERNMENT BUSINESS GRANTS

A new Welsh Government fund has launched across Bridgend county borough to provide financial assistance for businesses that are facing operational and financial challenges caused by the lockdown restrictions.

The Lockdown Business Fund involves a number of grants of up to £5,000 being made available for retail, leisure and hospitality businesses, charities, not for profit organisations, community amateur sports clubs and certain businesses in other sectors.

The grant application process is now live and will close at 5pm on November 20 or when the fund is fully committed.

One of the grants – the Lockdown Discretionary Grant –  reached full capacity and closed to new applicants over the weekend. However, we will update you early this week via our communication channels if applications reopen.

The Non Domestic Rate Grant is still open for applications.

Applications will be dealt with on a first come, first served basis. This may lead to applications not being appraised after they have been submitted if the fund is fully committed.

For full details on the grants and how to apply visit Bridgend County Borough Council’s business support webpage<https://www.bridgend.gov.uk/my-council/performance-plans-and-reports/coronavirus-covid-19-latest-information-and-advice/apply-for-welsh-government-business-support/>.
